In the district of Jeżyce in Poznań there is a place that, since more than 90 years, has attracted the city’s inhabitants by fulfilling the expectations of those, who long for a direct encounters with the art. This place is called The Tadeusz Łomnicki Nowy Theatre. The keys to its success? Excellent cast performing approximately 350 plays per one artistic season on three different stages with, almost invariably, all the audience seats occupied. The theatre’s spectacles offer the vast range of artistic projects: ranging from the light-heartedly spirited music comedies to artistic manifestos commenting current political and social issues. Its visitors can also benefit from participating in organised meeting with artists, workshops, exhibitions of characterisation’s elements, spectacles for parents, activities for children, culinary pleasures in Stołówka Teatralna Meskalina (Meskalina Theatre Canteen) or simply a moment of relax over a cup of coffee in the theatre’s foyer. The characteristic pink tenement building located at 5 Jan Henryk Dąbrowski Street, which in the past used to be called ‚The House Under the Dancing Rooster’, is where all this events take place.
